This village is located in Rajasthan India. This place is on National Highway No -11 while you are travelling from Agra to Jaipur or Jaipur to Agra. Its very near from Jaipur about 90 Km. This village is 10 Km away from the main highway NH-11 which connect from Jaipur to Agra. Abhaneri village come under Dausa district. Chand Baori is a step well, it was built 1000 Years ago in The Abhaneri village of Dausa district Rajasthan. The Chand Baori is not a easy landmark to find, thus it is of the hidden top most secret tourist destination of India. 





Step wells also known in India with different names like "Baori" These step wells are very unique in India to restore the water. The wells have steps built in to the side that lead down to the water which is restore. There are many step wells in India which were built in 08th / 09th century. One of the famous step wells in Rajasthan in Abhaneri Village. These step wells were used to restore the water during monsoon time so that they can survive this restore water in summer time. These step wells about 65 feet deep, it is India's largest step wells with the 13 floors. 

It has an enclosed rectangular courtyard type of structure. Once you entering you reach a Window. Descending the stairs on your left side you can see the Baori narrowing towards the bottom, crossed with double flights of steps on three sides to reach the water surface. The stairs are in three side of the wall in Chand Baori and it have 03 storeys with amazing carved Jharokhas known as window and have beautiful sculptures of balconies. 
In present time this pavilion is not used as a well anymore but it attract tourist from all over the world.
The Chand Baori has also served as the top location for various movie shooting Bollywood & Hollywood like Bhool Bhulaiya, The Fall, Bhoomi, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel & The Dark Knight Rises starring Christian Bale as Batman.
