Incredible story of Leopards & Shepherds of Bera

Leopards & Shepherds of Bera
This story is very lovely & heart touching relationship between two wildlife lover Leopards & Shepherds of Bera. Hidden in the belly of Rajasthan "Bera" is a small town in Pali district with a considerable number of Leopards. Bera is also known as a Leopard country. Bera is paradise for travel photography and Leopards sighting lovers. Very close to this village lie the River Jawai & Jawai dam. A scenic place to some of the biggest crocodiles apart from a home of number of migratory birds during October to March. In Bera town there is traditional Rabari Tribe known as shepherds. This tribe majorly moving one place to another place during summer time for feeding the sheep. This tribe covers thousand of kilometer  only few days by walk with sheep. During winter they came back to their hometown.
Shepherd in whose life Leopards hold a special place, mythology & religion being key contributors for that.
The Rabari "Shepherds" believes that a goat being killed by a Leopard is a blessing for Lord Shiva. Keeping their livestock safe from Leopards is easy for them as they know every movement pattern of these cats, but the fact that Shiva wears a Leopard skin and sits on a tiger skin means for them that Leopards are on higher pedestal than Tigers, hence should we treated with respect.
I Bera tourist can shoot photo together Leopards and Shepherds both of Incredible relationship. A healthy population of  50+ Leopards is there in Bera & Jawai region and its one of few places on earth where among human settlement among Leopards thrive, thia are is inhabited by Rabari Tribe and where they are pray predators follow.
Bera is located 145 Km from Udaipur
