Divine Walk to Nashik

Nashik
Nashik city is a famous religious site of Hindus of India. Nashik is a fascinating city of India. Nashik have very strong holding & connections to the Hindu epic of the Ramayana, is apparently the place where Lord Laxman, on the wishes of Lord Ram, cut the nose of Surpanakha, thus the city was knows as Nashik. 
Nashik is one of the world's largest religious ceremonial rituals in the form of Kumbh Mela. The Kumbh Mela takes place once in twelve years. Nashik have many temples visited by devotees and tourists and there are many tourist attractions & important places to see in Nashik.

Nashik:- Its intricately carved temples and the stories behind them are the primary attractions of the divine walk which begins at the Sakshi Ganesh Mandir. 

Sakshi Ganesh Mandir - Nashik 
This temple is a popular space with a beautiful white faced and a magnificent idol of Lord Ganesha. Its beautiful Hindu Temple of Lord Ganesha made up some kind of white marble & stone with some fine design on its which looks delicate. Modakeshwar Ganesh Temple - Nashik
This temple located on the bank of River Godavari on the road of Ramkund to cementry. The name of the Temple is Modakeshwar because Ganpati idol is actually in the shape of Modak. This Temple looks like old type of Maharashtra House. There is huge crowd during Aarti time.  

Kalaram Temple - Nashik 
Kalaram Temple is a most iconic Temple in Nashik. Lord Ram have black statue but story is colorful. This Temple was built in 1792. The main structure of the Temple stands in the middle of a walled enclosure with 96 pillars and entrance on the east. The Kalash is made 32 tons of Gold. It is said that the stones were brought above 2000 years ago in cost of 23 Lakhs & 2000 workers used to built it and it was completed in 12 years. 
This Temple also played a important role in the Dalit Movement of India in 02 March 1930, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar led a protest outside the Temple in order to allow Dalit community to enter. 

Naroshankar Temple - Nashik 
This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located on the River bank of Godavari. This Temple built in 18th century. This Temple have a large bronze bell, it is six feet in diameter, this bell in the time of victory over Portuguese by Maratha ruler. When it ring anybody can hear till 05 km. 

Ramkund - Nashik
Ramkund is one of the holiest place in Nashik it is believed to be the place, where Lord Ram used to bath. Ramkund is located on the bank River of Godavari. It contains the bone dissolving Asthivilaya Tirth. Peoples bring ashes of their deceased relatives and immerse it in Asthivilay Kund. Many of the top personality ashes immersed here like YB Chavan, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and many more. 
   
Excursion for Blessing of  Trimbakeshwar Temple - Nashik
Trimbakeshwar Temple located 28 Km from Nashik city, one of the main religious place in Nashik and the part of one of the Twelve Jyotirlingas. This Temple is near by Brahamagiri Mountain from which mountain River Godavari flows. 

Sketch Plan to Enter Trimbakeshwar Temple - Nashik 
When you reach enter the main temple from the south entrance gate and reach directly to sanctum & after a few steps below the Mandap of the Temple. The main Jyotirlinga is a housed in a small depression inside. Godavari River constantly pours out of the top lingam. The mandapa have four side doors, you can see devotees immersed in rituals. The entire Temple structure is ornamented with fine sculptural work. 
The Sangam of the Godavari River and its tributar, The Ahilya is just outside the Trimbakeshwar Temple.     
How to Reach Nashik

By Air: Nearest Airport Mumbai which is 185 Km / 04 Hrs. drive from Mumbai to Nashik.
By Train: Nearest Railway Station Nashik Road which is 40 Km away from Nashik city.

  1. I never forgat Trimbakeshwar Temple Darshan, Bcoz It was time for the temple to close, and we were running away from the road, so that the temple should not be closed and we finally reached.
