French Fort Louis - Pondicherry 
French Fort Louis is quite important for those who are interested in history and are interested in seeing new things. It is a very popular fort of Puducherry. This fort used to be one of the earliest offices of French rule. It takes above 02 hours to visit.

Statue of Dupleix - Pondicherry

Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church - Pondicherry

Botanical Garden - Pondicherry

Old Lighthouse - Pondicherry
The name of the nineteenth century light house also comes from the famous places of Puducherry. This light house is located on Promenade Beach. This light house was built by the French in the nineteenth century. Louis was the engineer for this project. The dome of the tower is very amazing and it gives light to the light house. It is the main attraction of Puducherry.

French War Memorial - Pondicherry
The French War Memorial is an imposing structure located on Gobert Avenue that was built in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Beaches of Pondicherry

Paradise Beach - Pondicherry
The most beautiful part of Puducherry is the paradise beach here. The way it is named, so is its style. Coming here it seems as if you have visited Paradise. People enjoy various types of water adventures here like Banana Ride, SPeed Boat, Jet Ski, Kayak Boating etc. People walk on the beach barefoot. Promenade Beach - Pondicherry

Manakula Vinayagar Temple - Pondicherry 
In Tamil, Manal means sand and Kulan means lake. Manakula Vinayagar Temple is one of the ancient temples in India. The idol of Lord Ganesha is installed in this temple. The 16 forms of his spoken in the scriptures are seen on the walls of the Manakula Vinayagar temple.This temple is built in 8,000 square feet and has a lot of gold. The Brahmotsavam is celebrated here every year in the months of August and September.

How to Reach Pondicherry ?

The nearest airport to Pondicherry is in Chennai. Regular domestic and international flights are available from Chennai Airport, hence it is a good option to fly from Chennai to Chennai from where you can go to Pondicherry which is only 140 kms. is far.
