Maan Village - Leh
Beautiful Maan is the last village of India located in Leh District of Union territory of Ladakh. Maan village is 70 Km away from Leh, anyone can go by road easily. En route photo-shoot at Chang La Pass This village is located on the bank of Pangong Lake. Maan village is plastic free village there is no use of any type of plastic like carry bag and plastic bottle etc, you can not find any type of plastic here. Maan village is responsible for saving the nature & this village also plays an important role for sustainable tourism. There are only 35 Houses in Maan village. The architecture of these houses is very different from other places of Leh. Maan villagers are very good in hospitality. These families are involved in local handicraft business, farming & depends on tourist season. There are few home-stay options available along with many tourists camps, but these camps are far away from the village.
The Temperature of this place during winter season is minus 20 - 25 degree Celsius.

There is a simple way to capture the beauty of Maan village overnight in home-stay. Spend the Night with local families, talk with them, enjoy the local Ladakhi dinner, know the culture & lifestyle of locals. When you open your eyes next day & open your room's window wow what a amazing backdrop of the snow capped mountains & other side the flow of highest salt water Pangong lake, you can see everything from your room's window and enjoy a sip of hot masala tea.
Hiking & Nature Walk in & around Maan Village
Locals are nomadic in nature, if you ask them for a short walk then definitely they will go with you and will show you hidden treasure of the mountains, during the hiking you can watch Himalayan animals. If you love horse riding then what can be better option than riding on the bank of the Pangong Lake.

My voice for Save Life & Save Nature
- Do not use plastic while visiting Maan village, in case if you are carrying water bottle with you then don't forget to take it back with you.
- Try to spend overnight in Home-stay because local are totally depends on tourists.
- Try to eat local food with local families
- If you are visiting any handicraft workshop, try to purchase anything directly from locals as a souvenir for your family, friends or loved ones.
