Life of Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Sri Sathya Sai Baba was born on 23 November 1926 in Puttaparthi village in Andhra Pradesh southern part of India. He was the 8th child of father Pedu Venkapparaju and mother Iswaramma. He was born after receiving the offerings of the worship of Satyanarayana Lord and hence was named 'Satyanarayana'. In childhood, his name was 'Satyanarayana Raju'. The moment Sathya Sai was born as a newborn child, the instruments kept in the house started playing automatically and a mysterious snake was found shadowing the funnel under the bed during the birth of Raju. At the age of 14, on 23 May 1940, he announced his avatar and dedicated his life to the service of the people.
Sathya Sai Baba was an inspiration to people of all religions. They never saw people in religion, poor & rich, everyone was in one category in front of them. He can also be called the world's largest religious head, as Sathya Sai centers have been built in 178 countries. Sathya Sai, who lived a peaceful life for 85 years of his life, gave up his body on 24 April 2011.

Puttaparthi Temple Complex Attractions

Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram: The Divine Love of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba attracts people from far and wide to Prasanthi Nilayam, the abode of supreme peace located in the small village of Puttaparthi. What was once a small hamlet, has now become an internationally known spiritual centre. The ashram Prasanthi Nilayam (Abode of Supreme Peace) is situated in Puttaparthi in the Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh State in South India. Even after the death of the spiritual leader, the place continues to attract the devotees and followers. Sanatana Dharma that Baba proclaimed to be spreading could still be learn in the Ashram. Painted in blue, yellow and pink, the temple spreads message of spirituality, intellectualize and love, harmony of which culminates in ultimate peace.

Chaitanya Jyoti Museum: If one wishes to make an acquaintance with the early life of Sathya Sai Baba, no place could be better than this. This museum was established in Puttaparthi to mark the 75th birthday of Sri Satya Baba. The museum in an elaborate way describes the life and mission of the Avatar Baba. It is a fusion of many cultures and styles of architecture. It depicts early childhood of the spiritual leader till the end. The divinity of his life is told by the medium of presentation in the stories associated with him. The place is deemed as an architectural marvel.

Anjaneya Swamy Temple: Anjaneya Swamy Temple Located at Gopuram Road, the temple has an entrance with beautiful Shiva Lingam. Upon entering the devotees can get a look of the presiding deity Hanuman and a pool of water near his feet. It is believed that the pool hold tears of the deity. This place I have visited few year back. This is very old temple but mush hype. Local people only use to visit this temple. But it's very powerful temple. I would like to suggest everyone to go & visit. 

Sri Sathya Sai Space Theater: Sri Sathya space theater is very fantastic there are showing space like star's moon and milk moon and more. Planetarium is meant to enlighten individuals on the subjects of astronomy, physics and mathematics. Built with a capacity of 200 individuals, it educates with English and Hindi versions of the information being provided, from 10:00 -10:45 AM & 11:00-11:45 AM. This show operate for 30 minute. 

How to Reach Puttaparthi
By Air: Bangalore International Airport is the nearest Airport. Bangalore Airport have good connectivity by International Airline all around the world. Bangalore to Puttaparthi, approx 160 Km /  04 Hrs. drive. 

By Train: Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam railway station connects with major Indian cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar and more.

By Road: Road condition is very good & us services are easily available from most of the cities and towns like Bangalore, Hyderabad & Anantapur.
